On January 3rd, SM Entertainment revealed that Jonghyun will
be collaborating with well-known local artists and musicians for his first solo
mini album, "BASE". With Jonghyun and the collaborative artists'
musicality and artistry put together, the album is highly anticipated to be one
of the best music releases for the first half of 2015.
The first collaboration artist revealed is none other then
female artist, Younha. In the teaser image above, the talented vocalist is
shown to be one of, what is possible, four collaboration artists. This piece of
surprising news have caught the attention of netizens and many are anticipating
the release of "BASE".
Jonghyun expressed his own thoughts on the collaboration by
tweeting, "Younha noona...when I first monitored the completed version of
the indifferent yet mildly emotional song, I couldn't help but give a standing
ovation... kekeke, thank you noona".
Throughout the next few days leading up to the release on
January 12th, the names of the other collaboration artists will be revealed,
which is sure to heighten up the anticipation for Jonghyun's solo debut!
Jonghyun will be starting his broadcast promotions with KBS
"Music Bank" on the 9th, MBC "Show! Music Core" on the
10th, and SBS "Inkigayo" on the 11th.
